Seville Local Police have reported on an operation carried out in the Alcosa area, targeting illegal street vending. Officers have confiscated hundreds of items, primarily counterfeit sportswear and footwear.
The operation, conducted by the Mobile Action Unit, resulted in the seizure of 12 "hatillos" (bundles) and a vehicle, considered instruments of the crime. The more than 400 items seized were mainly football jerseys, although clothing and footwear from various brands were also confiscated.
“"These actions against illegal street vending respond to the requests of residents and merchants in the area, in addition to contributing to the fight against mafias and the economic damage to the companies that own the brands and the stores selling genuine items."
This work complements operations carried out by the Local Police's Fiscal Group to dismantle large distribution and storage networks for counterfeit goods.
