This symbolic act, a deep desire for rocieros, saw only Gelves and Coria successfully complete the seven-step stone climb before a crowd gathered in the Plaza de España.

The carts from Olivares and La Algaba were the first to arrive at the square, displaying the original simpecado of Villamanrique. Brotherhoods such as those from Morón, Aznalcázar, and San Juan de Aznalfarache, despite their fervor and singing the traditional 'Salve, madre, en la tierra de tus amores', opted not to bring their carts and simpecados up. This decision was also made by others like Espartinas and Mairena del Aljarafe.

The uncertainty about whether to ascend the stairs, as explained by rocieros from Aznalcázar, depended on the physical condition of the oxen and prudence against potential mishaps, recalling incidents from the previous year. The square responded with applause to the arriving corporations, creating an extraordinary atmosphere.

It was the brotherhood of Gelves that finally broke the Villamanrique 'curse', pushing their cart with emotion and earning applause from everyone present. The brotherhood of Coria followed suit with an epic ascent, leaving a memorable scene.

Among the attendees were the president of the provincial council, Javier Fernández, and Carlos López Bravo, candidate for head of the Brotherhoods and Confraternities Council of Seville. Although delayed, the day concluded with the presentation of brotherhoods such as Macarena, Alcalá, Carmona, and Utrera, among others, despite Seville only partially completing its morning ascent.
