The program, reactivated in 2025 after being suspended during the pandemic, now has a budget of nearly five million euros and a two-year duration. The mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, emphasized that the investment aims to support Sevillian residents, care for their physical and emotional well-being, and reach out to those experiencing unwanted loneliness.
Over 180 workshops will be offered in areas such as memory, emotional well-being, adapted gymnastics, and new technologies, covering topics like self-esteem, emotional management, and laughter therapy. These activities will take place in 14 Social Service Centers, Civic Centers, and social entities across the city.
In addition to workshops, the program includes social activities, excursions, and social thermalism. A specific line for detecting and supporting individuals experiencing unwanted loneliness is also being implemented.
Eligible participants are residents registered in Seville aged 60 years or older, or those receiving disability pensions from age 55. Priority will be given to individuals with recognized dependency status, those caring for a dependent person, or those who have applied for dependency recognition.
Each applicant can choose up to a maximum of four workshops, one from each thematic area. The application period will be open from September 7th to 25th. Applications can be submitted online through the City Council's electronic headquarters or in person at the Social Service Centers, where assistance will be provided for completing the application without prior appointment.
