A traffic incident that occurred this Thursday afternoon in Castilleja de la Cuesta, Seville, has resulted in nine people suffering minor injuries. The event took place when a truck impacted the rear of a passenger bus, as reported by local authorities.
The Local Police of Castilleja de la Cuesta described the accident as "spectacular." It happened on Calle Real, on its highest section, while the bus was stopped at a traffic light at the junction with Calle Diego de los Reyes. The truck, which was traveling uphill, failed to brake in time, colliding with the public transport vehicle.
Fortunately, the impact was not severe enough to cause serious injuries, and none of those affected required transfer to a medical center. All nine injured individuals were bus passengers, while the drivers of both vehicles remained unharmed. The initial hypothesis from authorities points to a possible mechanical failure in the truck, as alcohol and drug tests performed on the truck driver yielded negative results.
Despite the minor personal injuries, the truck sustained significant damage to its front and windshield, highlighting the force of the collision. The swift intervention of the Local Police allowed for the management of the situation and the clarification of the initial causes of the incident.
