Student Candela Delgado de la Fuente, pursuing a Double Degree in Social Work and Social Education, was the standout performer at the FISU 2026 World University Canoeing Championship, held in Szeged, Hungary. Delgado won the gold medal in C4 500 meters, silver in C1 500 meters, and bronze in C2 500 meters.
Meanwhile, at the World University Rowing Championship in London, Ontario (Canada), Biotechnology student Mª Jesús Gómez Guerrero reached the final series in the Skiff category, demonstrating a high competitive level.
In the women's padel at the European Universities Games (EUG) in Salerno, Italy, students Elena de la Rosa Ramos and Ainhoa García Yepes were crowned European university champions. The men's team, with Alfonso Díaz Ponce and Enrique Cepas Cuadrado, secured a commendable sixth position.
These results highlight the Pablo de Olavide University's commitment to high-level sports and the talent of its students on the international stage.
