The socialist mayor stated that neither he nor the other 19 investigated individuals agree with the judicial decision, arguing that "there is no indication of any crime" and that "no one has been enriched." Garrido is confident that justice will prove the absence of wrongdoing.
The mayor expressed his wish for the matter to be resolved quickly and affirmed that he will continue working for Gines "with my head held high and with pride," highlighting the municipality's transformation and the improvement in the quality of life for its residents.
“"No one has been enriched nor committed any crime, and this will be demonstrated."
Garrido concluded by stating his commitment to continue working for Gines with the same enthusiasm, facing new challenges and supporting local traditions, as has been done during his tenure, which has made the municipality a benchmark in the province of Sevilla.
