The Urban Planning delegate, Isabel Madera, presented the "All About Housing" initiative, highlighting the construction model of Bormujos Village, an industrialized housing development that has generated great anticipation, especially among young people and families seeking their first home. This innovative construction system promises to reduce timelines, improve efficiency, and offer more affordable prices.
Madera explained that the Bormujos Village development is one of the most innovative efforts to meet housing demand in the municipality, noting that they await the tender award by the mayor's office to commence the project. The session also detailed the other four VPO (protected housing) developments underway: Aires del Aljarafe, Las Portadas, Vortex, and the one located opposite Megaocio, totaling 164 protected homes.
Information was provided on the services of the new Municipal Housing Office, designed as a space for advice and support for those seeking protected housing, offering personalized attention and assistance with registration. Furthermore, it was clarified that the price of VPO homes is set by the Junta de Andalucía, not by the developer or the City Council.
The EV Joven program, focused on rent-to-own schemes to facilitate youth emancipation, was also presented. The session concluded with a Q&A period where attendees resolved doubts regarding requirements, registration, available public aid, and allocation procedures.
The Urban Planning Delegation positively assessed the high participation and citizen interest, particularly in the Bormujos Village and Vortex projects, both under special regulations and considered among the most anticipated housing projects in the municipality.
