San Juan del Puerto has unveiled the program for its 42nd Cultural Week, a well-established event set to take place from August 24 to 30 in the Plaza de España. Under the theme 'Memory of Two Worlds', the initiative aims to highlight cultural diversity and the encounter between peoples.
The program will feature a wide variety of performances for all audiences, including international dance, family cinema, theater, music, carnival, tribute acts, and flamenco. For seven days, residents and visitors can enjoy top-tier entertainment.
Mayor Rocío Cárdenas emphasized that the Cultural Week is a hallmark of the municipality and a collective project that has evolved over time. She highlighted the efforts to provide an attractive, diverse, and high-quality program that energizes the social, cultural, and economic life of San Juan del Puerto.
The Councilor for Culture, Juan Martínez, who also designed the stage set, detailed the pluralistic nature of the week, intended for everyone to find their space and for each night to be a shared cultural experience.
The Deputy for Culture of the Provincial Council of Huelva, Gracia Baquero, praised the event's trajectory and its contribution to the cultural dynamism of the province.
The week kicks off on Monday the 24th with Armenian and Colombian dances, followed by family cinema on Tuesday. Wednesday the 26th will feature theatrical performances. Thursday is dedicated to Latin dances, and Friday will host the carnival night with choir and chirigota performances. Saturday the 29th will include musical tributes to Estopa and Hombres G, and the event will conclude on Sunday the 30th with a show by the Municipal Flamenco Dance School. Concurrently, an indigenous exhibition will open, and there will be an exchange with Colombian muralists.
With this edition, San Juan del Puerto reaffirms its commitment to culture as an essential element for social cohesion and municipal promotion, consolidating an event that attracts thousands of people each summer.
