The University of Almería has made public the final resolution for the 2026 call for Launchpad Research Project Grants. This initiative, part of its Own Plan for Research and Transfer 2026-2027, primarily aims to stimulate the submission of quality projects within the UAL's research lines.
These grants are intended for teams that, despite receiving good scientific evaluations in state calls in 2024, did not secure funding due to falling below the cutoff. With this financial support, the UAL seeks to increase the chances of these teams obtaining external funding in future national calls.
A total of eight projects, led by principal investigators from the university who surpassed the minimum threshold of 65 net points, have been approved for funding. The allocated grants are distributed proportionally to the scores obtained, with a maximum amount of up to 10,000 euros per initiative. The official start date for the execution of the subsidized research has been set for this July, with each project having a determined duration of one year.
