The Heritage Interpretation Center of Almería (CIP) today hosts the photographic exhibition 'The Street Theater', by artist Carlos de Paz, a display that champions humanist photography.

The exhibition, which will be available throughout September, was inaugurated in the Sala Jayrán with the presence of the Councilor for Tourism, Communications, and City Promotion, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca, and the artist himself, Carlos de Paz.
Organized by the Desencuadre Photographic Collective with the collaboration of the Tourism Area of the Almería City Council, the exhibition offers a contemporary look at humanist photography, inviting reflection on the small stories and everyday moments that make up urban life.
During the inauguration, Pérez de la Blanca highlighted the value of photography as "a privileged window through which to look at and understand our city," emphasizing culture's ability to tell "who we are" and how 'The Street Theater' focuses on "the life, the people, and the small moments that happen before our eyes and often go unnoticed."
Carlos de Paz explained that the exhibition stems from a group dedicated to the study of humanist photography within the Desencuadre Photographic Collective and announced a roundtable discussion for the 19th at 11:00 AM to discuss this concept.
The exhibition is the result of a year of shared work, including a workshop with French photographer Roland Laboye. The displayed photographs have been selected for educational purposes, and this first exhibition will be followed by a second show featuring works from the group.
The Councilor for Tourism and City Promotion highlighted the Almería City Council's commitment to local creators and cultural collectives, promoting an "Almería that is culturally active, open, and capable of generating talent."
'The Street Theater' exhibition can be visited at the Heritage Interpretation Center of Almería, from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and from Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
