The Provincial Commission for Historical Heritage of Almería has issued a favorable report on the initial approval of specific modification number 19 of the PGOU-AP of Huércal de Almería. This initiative focuses on the delimitation and ordering of a general system of open spaces in rural land, promoted by the local administration.
The urban development action covers various plots distributed throughout the municipality of Huércal de Almería, totaling an area of 39,009 square meters. Currently, these areas are classified as rural land preserved by territorial planning within the protection scope of the unique agricultural landscape of the Vega Baja del Andarax.
The modification is being processed in accordance with the Law for the Promotion of Territorial Sustainability of Andalusia (LISTA) and proposes the creation of a new general system of open spaces in rural land (SGEL-18). This plan includes the conservation, maintenance, and restoration of existing irrigation channels to ensure their functionality, as well as specific measures to reconcile their preservation with the planned development.
“"The Provincial Commission for Historical Heritage has issued a favorable report within the scope of its competencies, also recalling the obligation to comply with current regulations in case of accidental archaeological finds during the development of the actions."
