Under the slogan 'Connecting Almería', the sessions analyzed key challenges such as transport decarbonization, universal accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and territorial integration in areas like the Levante almeriense, Bajo Andarax, and Filabres.
Demographic and economic challenges were addressed through round tables featuring municipal representatives from Almería, Roquetas de Mar, and Vícar. Furthermore, the focus was placed on mobility within the agricultural sector, culminating in the signing of the '2030 Mobility Commitments' manifesto and the launch of the Almería Mobility Lab.
The Almería Metropolitan Transport Consortium highlighted the growth in university services, with a 223% increase in trips since the 2018-2019 academic year. Additionally, the role of electric bicycles as an active transport alternative was emphasized, with figures exceeding 220,000 trips recorded since February and significant CO2 emission savings.
