The event, taking place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will feature a fourth venue at Paseo Sur, joining traditional locations such as Rambla Federico García Lorca, the Mirador de la Rambla, and the courtyard of the Junta de Andalucía Government Delegation. Organizers expect to exceed 16,000 visitors following preliminary activities in 56 schools.
This edition features a 24.2% increase in participating researchers, totaling 610 individuals, with women representing 54.8% of the staff. The program, coordinated by the University of Almería and the Fundación Descubre, focuses on the Aqualab Project, addressing challenges such as sustainable water management and astronomical outreach ahead of upcoming eclipses.
The initiative is supported by the Junta de Andalucía, the Almería Provincial Council, the Almería City Council, and Cajamar. The main goal is to bring scientific work closer to the public, fostering critical thinking and inspiring younger generations through workshops, exhibitions, and interactive routes.
