These interventions, part of the Andalucía Actúa Plan, aim to repair rural infrastructures affected by the series of storms that hit the province of Granada. The actions focus on forest roads, livestock trails, and public use facilities in natural areas, prioritizing the recovery of territorial connectivity.
The work carried out so far on the Cordel de Montefrío has included the construction of three riprap walls to contain and stabilize the terrain, as well as thorough cleaning of the path. Sediments, stones, and plant debris have been removed, and ditches have been cleared to restore longitudinal drainage, covering approximately one kilometer of path and a similar length of ditches.

The mayor of Loja highlighted the importance of these works for connecting the dispersed settlements of the municipality and supporting activities linked to the rural environment. He also thanked the patience of farmers and the support of local companies, emphasizing the need for continued funding from all administrations to complete the remaining work.
