The 'White Night' held on August 3rd in Baza has been declared a resounding success by the City Council and the Association of Commerce Entrepreneurs, surpassing all expectations.

Thousands of people took to the streets to enjoy the event, stroll, explore local businesses, and patronize hospitality establishments. The high customer turnout and significant sales volume recorded during the evening have led municipal and business authorities to view the initiative very positively.
From early afternoon, the streets were bustling. The Plaza Mayor, from which two street bands departed to entertain until midnight, was filled with people of all ages. The Commerce Department organized various activities in different locations, including dancing, music, educational workshops, circus performances, puppet shows, and DJ sets.
Participating shops stayed open beyond regular hours, experiencing a steady stream of customers until nearly midnight and exceptionally busy cash registers. Bar terraces were also full throughout the night. Some businesses offered refreshments and tapas to customers outdoors and displayed their products outside for easier viewing.
The closure of main roads to vehicle traffic contributed to the general festive atmosphere, allowing people to spread throughout streets, squares, and shops. The initiative, a result of joint efforts by the City Council and local businesses, has proven highly beneficial.

"Those of us who were out on the street all night could see that this proposal works. Furthermore, those of us who visited the shops could see that it is also a very profitable activity for our establishments. Now it's time to take stock, see where we can improve, and thank the municipal staff who were behind the organization."

José Antonio Valdivieso · Councilor for Commerce
The Councilor for Commerce, José Antonio Valdivieso, highlighted the effectiveness of the proposal and its benefits for businesses, and thanked the municipal staff for their collaboration in the organization.
