The works carried out by the Baza City Council on Javier Molina street, located next to the Guardia Civil barracks, have concluded, completely renewing the street's appearance and resolving long-standing issues.
The intervention has not only given the street a modern and aesthetic image, with a combination of new paving stones, but has also improved the underground water supply and sanitation networks. The descent towards Avenida José de Mora has been made easier and safer, preventing accidents and allowing for better use of the street.
The work included the correct alignment of housing levels, reduction of ramps, and the replacement of coping stones on ten windows of the Guardia Civil barracks' facade.
“"Javier Molina street looks completely different, both in appearance and in ease of passage. In this regard, we still need to install a central handrail on the descent to further improve pedestrian safety. We are satisfied with the intervention and hope the residents appreciate it. We will continue working in this neighborhood as soon as possible because we know there are other circumstances to address."
The mayor of Baza, Pedro J. Ramos, and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Mª Carmen López, have overseen the results of the works, expressing satisfaction with the intervention and a commitment to continue working in the neighborhood.
