The works, which were completed on July 25, have allowed for a complete renovation of these roads. The intervention covered both the modernization of underground water supply and sanitation infrastructure as well as surface improvements, including new asphalt, sidewalks, and rainwater collection systems.
The project had a total budget of 401,000 euros. Funding was provided through the collaboration of four administrations: the SEPE, which contributed 265,442 euros; the Junta de Andalucía, with 89,586 euros; the Diputación de Granada, with 29,862 euros; and the City Council itself, which contributed 17,043 euros.
Beyond the impact on urban infrastructure, the execution of this plan has had a significant social component by promoting local employment. The campaign enabled the hiring of 160 people, consisting of 30 skilled masons and 130 laborers.
