Homeowners in Baza's historic center have a new opportunity to receive financial aid from the City Council. The Urban Planning Department has extended the deadline for housing rehabilitation grants in the old town by fifteen business days, starting from September 11. Initially, the application period ended on June 30, but a decision by the Governing Board on August 28 reopened a new fifteen-day window following requests from several owners.
The objective of these incentives is to regenerate and beautify the buildings of Baza's old town, as a measure to preserve the general aesthetic and optimal conservation of the municipality's most traditional part. The bases for the call are published on the municipal website's Notice Board.
To apply for the grants, applicants must submit a form to the General Entry Registry of the City Council, along with a detailed report or budget of the planned works, photographs of the building's current condition, and the property deed or a simple note.
Eligible works include the repair or replacement of exterior windows, roof tile repair, roof structures, facade eaves, facade repair, and facade painting. In all cases, these interventions must be carried out after the aid has been granted. To benefit from this call, applicants must be the owner of the property, either individually or as a community of owners. The bases include a map delimiting the urban area where these aids will apply.
