The events will commence with the unveiling of the poster announcing the processional parade, scheduled for Friday, April 24, at 8:30 PM in the Church of San Juan. This poster, created by a local artist, will be revealed by a presenter.
The following day, Saturday, April 25, will feature the traditional “descent” of the patron. At 6:30 PM, the devout veneration of the Sacred Image will begin, followed at 7:30 PM by the transfer of the image to the main altar. The day will conclude at 8:00 PM with the celebration of the Eucharist, offered by the brotherhood's youth.
Starting Friday, May 1, the worship services and functions dedicated to the patron will begin, with two consecutive novenas extending until Monday, May 18. During this period, the parish church of San Juan will remain open continuously from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM for the recitation of the novena. Additionally, each day the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from 5:00 PM, with the rosary recited at 7:20 PM, and the Eucharist at 8:00 PM, dedicated to various guilds and associations of the town.
The highlight of the celebrations will be Saturday, May 23, when at 12:30 PM, a pilgrims' mass will be held. That same afternoon, at 7:00 PM, the anticipated processional parade of Antequera's patron will take place.
Finally, the schedule of worship will conclude on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00 PM with a mass dedicated to the sick and elderly, followed by the veneration and transfer of the image to its chapel.
