The day on Saturday, April 18, will kick off with a hiking route through the natural park of El Torcal de Antequera, a recognized World Heritage site. Two shifts are planned, at 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM, lasting approximately two hours, and requiring prior reservation.
Concurrently, at 12:00 PM on Saturday, a guided tour with a host will be offered at the Roman Villa of La Estación, providing an opportunity to delve into the city's Roman past. On the same day, a guided tour of the historic center will also take place, with two schedules: at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The meeting point will be Plaza del Coso Viejo, from where participants can explore some of the main heritage sites in the center.
The program will continue on Sunday, April 19, with an accessible route through the historic center at 11:00 AM, specially designed for people with reduced mobility. This activity, also departing from Plaza del Coso Viejo, will last an hour and a half.
As a grand finale, on Sunday at 12:30 PM, a guided visit to the Church of San Juan de Dios will be held. This brief 30-minute tour will allow visitors to discover one of the most prominent temples of local heritage, located in the heart of the town.
With this program, Antequera reinforces its commitment to the dissemination and enhancement of its rich historical and cultural heritage, making its patrimony accessible to residents and visitors through inclusive and participatory activities.
