The town of Cacín will see its sports facilities improved with the comprehensive renovation of the CPR Ruiz Carvajal sports court. The project, promoted by the Granada Provincial Council through the Provincial Plan for Sports Facilities, aims to provide a safer, more accessible, and adequate space for sports practice.
The intervention will include the replacement of the pavement, improvement of the lighting, and renovation of the perimeter fencing. The Deputy of Sports, Eric Escobedo, visited the municipality and met with the mayor, Josefa Ramírez, to detail the project's specifics.
The total investment amounts to 85,000 euros. Of this sum, the Granada Provincial Council contributes 80,750 euros, while the Cacín City Council will finance the remaining 4,250 euros. Deputy Escobedo described the investment as "important" and stated it addresses a "real need" of the municipality, expressing confidence that residents will appreciate the facility's modernization.
Escobedo also noted that this action marks the return of Provincial Council investments in sports facilities in Cacín after 2019, reaffirming the commitment to collaborate with city councils to provide all municipalities with quality infrastructure.
For her part, Mayor Josefa Ramírez expressed her satisfaction and gratitude for the Council's support, emphasizing that the renovation was "very necessary" due to the pavement's deterioration. She celebrated that the municipality benefited this year from the Provincial Plan for Sports Facilities, which will allow children and users to enjoy improved conditions.
The works will completely renew a facility worn by time, improving conditions for sports and increasing safety with new lighting and fencing.
