The 2026 Diputación Granada BTT Half Marathon Circuit resumed its activity with the VI Tajos de Alhama Half Marathon, organized by C.D. Espejo Bike Team. A total of 150 participants started from the facilities of the Balneario de Alhama de Granada on a sunny day with pleasant temperatures, ready to tackle the planned 36 kilometers.
The race began with a very fast start towards the town of Alhama de Granada. On the first ascents, David Comino (Fer García, C.D.) took the lead, setting a strong pace and forming an initial breakaway. Later, Miguel Molina (Espejo Bike Team) managed to stay with him.
The two riders remained together for a significant part of the course, with the victory resolution coming on the decisive final climb from the Alhama River towards the finish line. Comino managed to open a gap and headed towards victory alone.
David Comino crossed the finish line as the first absolute finisher with a time of 1:55:06. Miguel Molina finished second, just twenty seconds behind (1:55:26), and the third absolute place went to Rafael Reyes (Semar, C.C.) with 1:59:06.
The women's race evolved quite differently, with Adriana Arredondo (Sumgasur-Bicis Buru) taking the initiative from the early stages. The Granada-based junior rider quickly distanced her closest rivals and completed the course solo, maintaining her lead until the finish. Arredondo clocked a time of 2:34:50, becoming the first female participant in terms of overall entry and also winning the junior category. Celia Martínez (Tenerife Bike Point – La Sede) and Martina Cantón (Dr. Bike Granada, C.D.) were second and third, respectively.
Category winners included: Cadet: Adrián Navarro and Martina Cantón. Junior: Mario Menéndez and Adriana Arredondo. U23: David Porras. Elite: David Comino. Master 30: Miguel Molina and Ana Gay. Master 40: Rafael Reyes and Rosa María Sánchez. Master 50: Pelayo Manzano and Bibiana López. Master 60: Francisco Pérez.
The event was attended by Álvaro Molina, Councilor for Sports of Alhama de Granada, and Ángel Camarero, honorary vice-president of the Andalusian Cycling Federation.
The next event in the circuit will take place in Montillana on October 4th.
