The Tarifa Business Federation has condemned the attack that occurred at the Town Hall and took the opportunity to denounce the "collapse" of the municipal Technical Office.

The Tarifa Business Federation has expressed its "absolute condemnation" of the serious events that took place last Friday at the Tarifa Town Hall, where a resident entered the Technical Office with a canister of gasoline and a lighter, allegedly to attack a municipal official. The organization describes these acts as "incompatible with democratic coexistence" and emphasizes that any "violent, intimidating, or disruptive behavior to the normal functioning of public institutions" must be forcefully rejected.
However, the statement issued by the employers' association also highlights the growing unease in the town regarding the situation of the municipal Technical Office. The business owners state they understand the "frustration and desperation" experienced by citizens, freelancers, and entrepreneurs due to the administrative "collapse" that, they claim, the Urban Planning department has been suffering for some time.
According to the Federation's complaint, delays in granting licenses, authorizations, and processing urban planning applications are causing "serious economic and personal harm," leading to the stalling of investments and the paralysis of business projects in the municipality. They warn that this situation directly affects "the economic and social development of Tarifa."

Tarifa cannot afford to remain administratively blocked while residents and businesses see their future compromised.

Faced with this scenario, the organization calls for an "urgent, effective, and responsible" response from the competent administrations. They conclude by calling for "calm, institutional respect, and dialogue," but insist on the need to adopt immediate measures to strengthen and unblock the functioning of the municipal Technical Office, thereby ensuring "an agile, efficient administration at the service of citizens."
