The event will bring together professional and amateur photographers in a competition dedicated to creating and interpreting the territory through images. The presentation of the initiative was attended by the president of the Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar, Susana Pérez Custodio; the deputy mayor of the Tarifa City Council and head of the Cultural Development Area, Ignacio Trujillo Jaén; and the president of the iNFOCUS Photographic Association, Miguel Lorenzo.
The competition will begin at 10:00 AM at the Castillo de Guzmán el Bueno in Tarifa, where the contest theme will be revealed. Participants will have until 11:59 PM on the same day to complete their photographic submissions. The contest is open to individuals over 16 years old and allows the submission of up to ten photographs taken obligatorily during the day, with technical freedom but excluding photomontages and AI-generated images.
The competition offers prizes totaling 1,000 euros, in addition to distinctions and honorable mentions from the Andalusian Photography Federation. The jury, composed of professionals appointed by the federation, will also select up to 25 finalist photographs for an exhibition.
Registration, costing 10 euros, is open until October 3rd, 2026, via the form available on the association's website. The jury's verdict will be announced on October 9th. The marathon aims to promote photographic creation and highlight the region's heritage and landscapes.
