The headquarters of the Casa Regional de Ceuta in Algeciras hosted this Saturday the third edition of Vision of the Future. The event, organized in conjunction with the association Héroes Magos, had the primary objective of raising funds for the purchase of prescription glasses for children from low-income families. The event brought together dozens of people in an atmosphere of community and solidarity, offering a charity paella, musical performances, and various activities to encourage fundraising.
Collaboration was based on voluntary contributions through a solidarity collection box, an initiative that has been present at other events organized by the entity. A charity market with items such as costume jewelry and t-shirts was added to this fundraising, with all profits dedicated to the visual aid project.
Organizers announced that the collection box will be opened in July, when the total amount raised will be revealed at an event held at the Opivisión optician's. Those who wish to continue contributing can still make financial donations at this establishment through the account set up for the campaign.
The event featured musical performances by Diego Bayón, who replaced Juani Campoy at the last minute, as well as Rakel Viñas and David Cordobés. During the gathering, recognitions were presented to collaborators, artists, and volunteers who have supported the project throughout its three years of existence.
The campaign, now in its third edition, is the result of the collaboration between the Casa Regional de Ceuta and Héroes Magos. This alliance has helped numerous minors with vision problems and limited resources, with the initiators highlighting that access to prescription glasses not only improves visual health but also enhances academic performance and equal opportunities.
