María Cristina Park in Algeciras was filled with aromas and flavors during the second day of the 1st Gastronomic and Cheese Fair. Hundreds of people gathered to enjoy a live culinary spectacle.
The highlight of the morning was the showcooking, which kicked off at 1 PM. Local chefs prepared a hearty chickpea and meat stew with cheese, whose free tasting attracted long queues, not due to the price, but because of the appetizing aroma emanating from the pans.
The attendees, including families, couples, and groups of friends, expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the gastronomy from the Campo de Gibraltar region. The organization highlighted the positive reception of the initiative, which aims to promote local and Andalusian products.
The fair, featuring over 60 stalls offering artisanal products, cheeses, cured meats, and sweets, will continue its program until Sunday, including a day dedicated to 19th-century costumes and more free tastings.
