Nacho González will compete with the Spanish veterans' team in the tournament to be held in Buenos Aires from September 14th to 19th. The mayor highlighted the promotion that athletes like González bring to La Línea internationally in a growing sport like padel.
This is the second time González has been selected for a world championship. Last year, he was part of the team that won the European Championship in Valencia. His record includes a world runner-up title in 2024 and seven Spanish championship titles.
“"I am very excited to be part of a spectacular team and to participate in Buenos Aires in a very well-organized competition, even with stadiums that can hold more than 20,000 people."
González expressed his enthusiasm for joining a team he describes as 'spectacular' and for competing in Buenos Aires, noting the event's excellent organization and the planned scale of the stadiums.
