Approximately 175 elderly individuals from the El Saladillo Active Participation Center, the La Unión Pensioners Association, and the Vida Saludable collective gathered for the event. The initiative was organized by the Algeciras City Council through the Department of Senior Care.
The councilor responsible for Senior Care, Patricia Bueno, emphasized the importance of seniors as "a benchmark for everyone" and their fundamental role in the city. She assured that the City Council will continue to promote activities that encourage their active participation and strengthen their social connections.
“"From the City Council, we will continue to promote initiatives that favor their active participation and provide them with opportunities for moments of coexistence and to strengthen their social relationships."
Bueno also expressed her gratitude to the participating entities and highlighted the positive reception of this activity, which is part of the Royal Fair's municipal program aimed specifically at this demographic.
