The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Linense (Apymell), together with the City Council, is organizing a new edition of the traditional “Lantern Day” this weekend. The event aims to create atmosphere and animation in the city's streets.
From the municipal delegation of Commerce and Markets, led by councilor Alfonso Lozano, it has been confirmed that the activity will take place on Friday, July 9, and Saturday, July 10. During these days, participating businesses will offer significant discounts to customers.
As part of the planned animation activities, there will be a performance by a charanga (street band) on Saturday to create a festive atmosphere, anticipating the upcoming celebration of the Velada y Fiestas 2026.
This initiative is conceived as a prelude to the Velada y Fiestas, with the aim of boosting commercial activity and dynamism in the streets of La Línea.
