Luck has smiled upon the industrial and commercial park of Palmones, where an ONCE vendor has distributed a total of 1.18 million euros. The main prize, a one-million-euro ticket, along with 99 other tickets winning 1,200 euros each, were sold in the area.
Mónica Castro, who has been an ONCE vendor for nine years, was responsible for bringing fortune to this town. Her tickets, sold near the Acerinox plant, have particularly benefited workers in the area.
“"It was a gift from God. And this is a great way to help."
Castro, who previously worked as a nursery teacher, has found her calling in her work with the ONCE. Despite initially feeling judged for an invisible disability, she has become an integral part of her sales point community.
With nearly ten years of experience in the same location, Castro expresses her happiness and pride in her daily work, which begins at half-past five in the morning.
The vendor hopes to locate the fortunate winner of the million euros to share the joy of the prize.
Across Andalusia, the ONCE's Summer Extra draw, held on August 15th, distributed over 20 million euros. The largest prize, exceeding 18.3 million euros, fell in Granada capital. Seville also received a one-million-euro prize.
The extraordinary draw featured a first prize of 15 million euros, ten prizes of one million, and 119 prizes of 40,000 euros. The ONCE had already distributed over two million euros in other Andalusian provinces the previous week.
