The council is finalizing the project to carry out these conditioning works, which aim to address needs raised by neighborhood groups and correct accumulated urban imbalances.
The mayor, Juan Franco, recalled the meeting held with the Local Federation of Neighborhood Associations (Flavi), where various demands were presented, including the improvement of these public spaces.
The necessary funding to execute the project, named Recuperar nuestras plazas (Recover our squares), has already been secured, and work is expected to begin shortly. These interventions will extend across all neighborhoods of the municipality.
The governing team's objective is to move towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and territorially balanced city model, where squares act as "vertebrating elements of community life and engines of urban and social regeneration".
The mayor also announced that other projects focused on improving urban spaces will be presented soon.
