La Línea de la Concepción is gearing up for an intense cultural weekend with the celebration of the II Noche Flamenca and the continuation of the ‘Jazz al relente’ cycle. This Saturday, August 1st, the Casa de la Juventud will host performances by flamenco stars such as Antonio Reyes, Rancapino Chico, and David Morales. This event, part of the ‘La Noche en Blanco’ initiative, is the only ticketed event in the program, costing 20 euros.
The musical offerings will continue on Sunday, August 2nd, at 10:00 PM in the Jardines Saccone with a performance by the group ‘El Gremio’. This concert is part of the ‘Jazz al relente’ series and is produced by Rizoma Records.
In parallel, several artistic proposals will remain open until Sunday, starting at 10:00 PM. Highlights include the installation ‘El jardín de las hadas’ (The Fairy Garden) in the Jardines Saccone and the exhibition ‘Butterfly dance’ at the Galería Manolo Alés. Saturday's schedule will be completed with a theatricalized visit to the permanent exhibition at the Museo Cruz Herrera, for which the 50 available spots have already been sold out.
It is worth remembering that the pasodoble concert by the Municipal Music Band, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled. All these initiatives are coordinated by the municipal department of Culture of the Ayuntamiento de La Línea de la Concepción and are sponsored by the Diputación de Cádiz.
Additionally, the quick painting encounter ‘Sketchers’ will take place. On-site registration will be available tomorrow. The day will begin at 9:00 AM at the Galería Manolo Alés (Casa de la Cultura) for notebook collection. Between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, participants will have time to draw at designated locations including Plaza Fariñas, Plaza Cruz Herrera, Calle Jardines, Jardines Saccone, and Plaza de la Iglesia.
At 2:00 PM, a group photo will be taken at Plaza Fariñas, followed by a proposed lunch at Puerto Marina Alcaidesa, with the option to continue drawing in the area. In the afternoon, between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM, notebooks will be returned at the Galería Manolo Alés, and finally, at 8:00 PM, the exhibition of the works created will be inaugurated.
