The Los Barrios City Council has finalized the pavement replacement works on the alleyway of Potera street, located between Salabar and Trasmallo streets in Palmones. This action has significantly improved both the surface and the rainwater drainage system in this area of the population center.
The works, which involved a municipal investment of 23,911.38 euros, are part of the Council's initiatives to continue enhancing the urban infrastructure of Palmones and respond to residents' demands.
The Councilor for Urban Maintenance, José Antonio Gómez, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of this work, described as "very necessary." The intervention resolves issues caused by pavement deterioration and insufficient slope, which led to water accumulation during rainfall.
The project included the complete renewal of the surface and the adjustment of slopes to optimize surface water runoff towards drainage elements, thereby improving collection and connection to the general rainwater sanitation network.
“"With this action, we respond to a request from the residents and improve the safety and comfort of users of this street, in addition to resolving a problem that caused inconvenience whenever it rained."
The councilor emphasized that the governing team will continue to carry out improvement projects in various parts of Palmones, aiming to modernize infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for the residents of the neighborhood.
