The cultural initiative, spanning five days from Wednesday, July 29, to Sunday, August 2, brought together residents and visitors for various art, music, and theater proposals across several venues in La Línea de la Concepción.
The nighttime opening of the Cruz Herrera Museum, from Friday to Sunday, welcomed over 3,000 people. Other activities were notable for filling, and even exceeding, their capacity, such as the open-air theatrical performance about Alfonso XI, guided museum tours focusing on the life of painter Cruz Herrera, both with a humorous touch, and the ‘Jardín de las Hadas’ event in the Saccone Gardens, which was very well-received.
The program took place in different parts of the municipality. Outside the Casa de la Cultura, an installation by artist Pablo Fernández Puyol was presented alongside a DJ performance. The Casa de la Juventud hosted the second edition of the ‘La Línea Flamenca’ festival, featuring David Morales and Duendeando. The group El Gremio concluded the events with a jazz concert on Sunday in the Saccone Gardens.
A Sketchers meeting, or quick painting event, was also held on Saturday, attracting over forty participants from various locations in the province of Cádiz. The artworks created in different parts of the urban center will be exhibited soon at the Casa de la Cultura.
Culture Councilor Raquel Ñeco praised the community's involvement and the municipal staff's efforts. "I must congratulate the people of La Línea for demonstrating their full engagement by participating and enjoying the cultural offerings," she stated. She also extended her gratitude to the technical staff of the Culture department and other City Council areas for their "intense administrative work," and mentioned that preparations for the 2027 edition are already underway.
