The Fair of Jimena de la Frontera is once again betting on aquatic activities to combat high temperatures. The well-known giant water slide will return to the town's streets on Saturday, August 15th, promising to be one of the main attractions of the festivities and a highly anticipated event for residents and visitors alike.
The installation will run down Sevilla street to the Plaza de la Constitución, temporarily turning a main urban thoroughfare into an improvised water park. Last summer, videos of participants sliding down the attraction garnered thousands of views on social media, cementing the activity as a highlight of the fair.
The slide, which is free to access, will be operational from 12:00 PM. The City Council reminds attendees that using a float is mandatory for safety and that they must follow the organization's instructions.
Jimena anticipates fun and splashes in its streets before the festive program continues at the fairgrounds with stalls, performances, and concerts.
