The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) held the 'Climate Dialogues' event, as part of its Environment Week. The session was inaugurated by APBA president Gerardo Landaluce and featured a conference by meteorologist and television presenter Isabel Moreno.
Following this, company representatives shared their decarbonization strategies. Participants included Ondario Juan Domínguez, Environmental Protection Manager at the Moeve Energy Park in San Roque; Rosa Ruiz Gómez, Head of Sustainability at Acerinox Europa; Crisanto Domínguez, Security & Environmental Manager at APM Terminals Algeciras; and Guillermo Ferrer Ruiz, HSSEQ Manager at Evos Algeciras. Each presented their companies' environmental protection initiatives.
The Environment Week activities continue this Saturday with a waste collection event at Chinarral beach in Algeciras. Additionally, throughout the month, the photographic exhibition 'The Threat of Plastic on Marine Life' is available in the pre-boarding area for Ceuta at the Algeciras maritime station.
