During an event held in Algeciras, outside the Punta Europa Hospital, socialist representatives strongly criticized the regional healthcare administration. The party called for electoral mobilization to “save” the public health system, which, according to their spokespersons, is experiencing “collapse and saturation.”

At the event, the 'Montero Plan' was presented, a healthcare proposal that includes an additional investment of 3 billion euros annually and the incorporation of 18,000 new healthcare professionals. Key measures include the recovery of Primary Care “by law,” with a commitment to guarantee medical appointments within a maximum of 48 hours.

Criticism was also directed at healthcare announcements made by the Andalusian Government during the election campaign, labeling as “ridiculous” the promise of new health centers “ten days before the elections” after “eight years without execution.”
The municipal spokesperson in Algeciras denounced the Andalusian Government's “failures” regarding the city, especially in healthcare. The promise of a new building for the Punta Europa Hospital eight years ago was recalled, a project that, according to the spokesperson, “remains unexecuted.” The situation of the future La Bajadilla health center was also criticized, as its plot “remains unchanged” despite commitments from the Junta.
