National Police officers have arrested a man residing in Algeciras in Ceuta after discovering he was carrying 650 grams of hashish hidden under the insoles of his shoes. The operation took place during a routine pedestrian checkpoint near the Tarajal border crossing.
A dog specialized in detecting narcotics alerted officers to the suspect, prompting a more thorough inspection. Although the detainee initially denied carrying any prohibited substances, officers found 56 hashish capsules distributed within the soles of his shoes.
The seized drugs, totaling 650 grams, led to the individual's arrest on suspicion of a crime against public health. The man was transferred to the police headquarters in Ceuta to complete the official report before being brought before the court.
