The mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco, expressed regret at being the last to be informed about the electricity supply cut affecting about 90 families in the Las Palomeras neighborhood since early this morning. The councilor criticized the lack of communication from the supplier Endesa and other administrations, stating that prior notification would have allowed municipal mediation with residents to regularize their "connections" and prevent so many families from being left without power.
Franco believes the action could have been handled differently, acknowledging that these are illegal situations. However, he emphasized the delicate nature of keeping these families without supply until they formalize their contracts, a process that could take several days.
The mayor has contacted Endesa to seek a solution, although reconnection or contract regulation appears difficult. The municipal government continues to work on finding solutions, with the intervention of the Social Services department to analyze vulnerable situations requiring immediate attention.
