The Campo de Gibraltar will once again resonate with the sounds that defined a decade. Algeciras is set to host a new edition of the “Grunge Is Not Dead” festival, an unmissable event for fans of legendary groups such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, and Alice In Chains.
The Lago Marítimo, an open-air venue that has become a prime location for concerts in the city, will be the setting for this event. The night will be dedicated to anthems that shaped an entire generation, promising a journey through the greatest hits of the grunge genre.
The festival lineup will feature prominent national tribute bands, including RadioBleach, paying tribute to Nirvana; Black Hole Jam, honoring Pearl Jam and Soundgarden; Foo Fakers, dedicated to Foo Fighters; and The Rooster Project, performing songs by Alice In Chains.
Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy emblematic songs such as “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Alive,” “Black Hole Sun,” “Everlong,” or “Rooster.” These tracks, which continue to be benchmarks in rock history, will create an atmosphere of connection between generations, attracting both veteran and new audiences.
The open-air format of the festival at Algeciras's Lago Marítimo is one of its main attractions, allowing music to be enjoyed in a unique setting by the sea. “Grunge Is Not Dead” is shaping up to be an opportunity to relive the energy of the 90s and enjoy a show designed for alternative rock lovers, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated musical events of spring in the Campo de Gibraltar.
