This temporary relocation will take place from mid-May to mid-July 2026, covering the assembly, celebration, and dismantling of the Royal Fair structures. The new site, popularly known as Liang Shan Po, is close to the current one, behind the Las Palomas bullring.
The delegate councilor for Markets, Sabina Quiles, stated that until the change is effective, the market will continue to operate normally at its usual location. Municipal officials will inform citizens of the exact transfer date in advance.
The decision follows months of searching for an alternative, as ongoing construction work in Llano Amarillo prevents its use for market stalls. Other areas within the municipality were also ruled out due to disruptions from works on the Southern Access. The setup of stalls on Francisco Riera street will follow the same arrangement as previously used in Llano Amarillo.
Furthermore, the City Council has announced that the market will not be held on the Tuesday of the Royal Fair, June 23, to minimize inconvenience for local residents. This municipal decision is supported by technical reports from the Citizen Security Delegation, and the new location, being in an area with urban transport traffic, will require adjustments to regular circulation.
“"At all times, we have sought to find a solution that enables the activity to continue and ensures customer flow to the market, which will return to its usual location once the fair's dismantling is complete."
