The Andalusian precadet taekwondo championship, which gathered nearly 700 athletes in Écija (Seville), was the scene of success for representatives from Algeciras. The Lee do Kwan club secured a gold medal, while Hércules Seúl Gym won a silver and a bronze, showcasing the high level of local competitors.
In the precadet category, Samuel Pavón, from Lee do Kwan, was crowned champion after dominating his two fights with authority. Meanwhile, from Hércules Seúl Gym, Lucía Rodríguez earned the silver medal in the -36 kg category, and Marta Rodríguez took home the bronze in -42 kg. Other athletes such as Aitana Montoya, Jimena Martínez, Martín Vargas, Marcos Ocaña, Alejandro Ocaña, and Ezequiel Santiago also participated in the competition.
Furthermore, the weekend was also fruitful at the Andalusian Master taekwondo championship, which took place in Alcaracejos (Córdoba). Daniel Rodríguez, from Lee do Kwan, climbed to the top of the podium in the Master-III (-80 kg) category. Rodríguez demonstrated his technical and tactical superiority by winning both his fights, the first in one round and the second in two, controlling the match with experience.
In this same master event, Cristian Núñez López (-63 kg) represented Hércules Seúl Gym, although he did not manage to reach the podium on this occasion.
