The event, which celebrates the excellence of the wines from the designation of origin, also seeks to strengthen its cultural, social, and tourist dimensions. The program includes guided tastings, exhibitions, and recognitions, establishing itself as an unmissable event for wine lovers.
Participating wineries include Pérez Barquero, La Unión, Cabriñana, Cooperativa Vitivinícola Local S.C.A., Navarro & Pilicrim, Lagar Blanco, Del Pino, Alvear, La Aurora, and San Acacio. Attendees can pair the wines with gastronomic proposals from restaurants such as Taberna La Montillana, Misa de Doce, La Lonja del Marisco (Montilla), Restaurante Asador Río Grande, and La Taberna del Río.
Access to the venue is free, with hours from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Consumptions will be paid individually at a price of two euros per glass of wine, and tastings will be paid directly at the winery and restaurant stands. Wine glasses can also be purchased at the winery stands.
The inaugural day, April 23, will begin with the reception of the Montilla-Moriles Wine Brotherhood, followed by the opening of the photographic exhibition Wine Tourism through Photography, by José María Garrido Mármol, and an act of recognition for the town of Adamuz. The official inauguration of the XL Wine Tasting Festival will be the highlight of the morning.
On the same day, April 23, guided tastings from Bodegas Alvear and Cooperativa La Unión Montilla will take place. Activities will continue on April 24 with presentations from the Montemayor City Council and Montilla City Council Tourism, along with guided tastings from Bodegas Grupo Pérez Barquero and Bodegas Lagar Blanco. The day of April 24 will also include the official reception of Caja Rural del Sur and a recognition of farmers, highlighting the importance of the wine sector. It is worth noting that all spots for the guided tastings are already sold out.
