The fire started in a stubble area and spread quickly toward an adjacent scrapyard. The combination of dry vegetation and waste materials created a column of flames that threatened a nearby house and a barn.
To contain the fire's advance, emergency teams established a tactical perimeter, preventing it from reaching the nearby properties. After securing the area, the crews proceeded with full extinction and cooling tasks to eliminate any remaining hot spots.
The technical and human resources deployed for this emergency included ten firefighters specialized in rural and urban fires, supported by five fire trucks equipped to access difficult terrain.
Authorities emphasize the importance of keeping stubble areas controlled, especially during periods of high drought, and highlight that early alerts via the 112 emergency number are essential to prevent major damage in the rural areas of Jerez de la Frontera.
