The campaign, backed by a municipal investment of 32,150 euros, will enable Andújar residents to purchase products and services for the start of the school year. Each voucher, valued at 25 euros, can be used for purchases exceeding 50 euros at participating businesses.
Voucher downloads will begin on September 1st at 10:30 AM via the platform www.bonocomercioandujar.com. Each adult may claim one voucher. Availability will last until all units are claimed or until October 9, 2026.
A new measure this year ensures a more equitable distribution: unused vouchers by September 24th will be automatically cancelled. From September 25th, these vouchers will be re-released for download by other users until October 9th.
The Councillor for Promotion, Juan Carlos Martínez, highlighted the success of previous editions, noting that in the 2025 campaign, 945 vouchers were redeemed, generating over 65,000 euros in local purchases. The Christmas campaign exceeded 130,000 euros, demonstrating a significant return on investment for the council.
Martínez emphasized the initiative's dual goals: supporting families with school expenses and stimulating economic activity in local businesses. "We want the money to stay in Andújar," he stated, underscoring the vital role of local commerce for employment and urban life.
The definitive list of participating businesses will be available on August 28th on the same online platform. The councillor indicated that similar campaigns will continue to be promoted to strengthen the local economy and support self-employed individuals and workers.
