This cultural initiative, a highlight on the local agenda, aims to merge the monumental richness of Andújar's old town with musical excellence. The program was unveiled by Azucena Cepedello, the City Council's Education Councilor, who emphasized the distinctive nature of this proposal.
“"It is not just any festival, but an experience that unites the monumentality of our old town with musical excellence."
The musical journey will commence on May 14 in the Plaza de España with a concert blending classical songs and Latin Jazz. Subsequently, on May 21, the Altozano Arzobispo José Manuel Estepa will host the show Il Paese del Sol, focusing on Italian lyrical repertoire. The Plaza Beato Marcos Criado will become the stage on May 28 for Spanish guitar music, a genre intimately linked to Andalusian musical heritage.
In June, the Plaza de Santa María will feature a performance with a strong flamenco accent on the 4th. The closing event of this edition will take place on June 11 in the Jardín del Alfarero, with a performance by the duo Palomares Piastra, concluding a tour that encompasses five spaces, styles, and corners full of history and beauty in Andújar.
Cepedello invited both residents and visitors to participate in this route, which she considers a “unique opportunity to experience Andújar, enjoy quality culture, and rediscover spaces rich in history and beauty.” Over fourteen editions, this event has established itself as a benchmark for cultural tourism in the province of Jaén during the spring months.
