The streets, squares, and landscapes of Andújar were transformed into open-air studios during the celebration of the XV Rapid Painting Contest “Luis Aldehuela”. This well-established cultural event attracted nearly a hundred creators from all over the country, who sought to capture the monumental, urban, and natural beauty of the municipality.
Throughout the day, participants explored different parts of the city, using historical corners, everyday spaces, and landscapes of the Andújar surroundings as inspiration for their works. Adverse weather conditions forced the relocation of the exhibition of finalist works and the awards ceremony to the Antigua Iglesia de Santa Marina.
“"The significant participation of artists from numerous parts of the country confirms the prestige and projection achieved by the competition."
The first prize, endowed with 3,000 euros, was awarded to an artist from Granada. In total, the contest distributed 15 recognitions, including seven main prizes and eight honorable mentions, highlighting the artistic quality and competitive level of the submitted works.
“"The artistic quality of the works presented and the consolidation of a cultural event that continues to grow edition after edition."
