The initiative, which has been underway since 2024 and will extend until 2028, aims to promote active citizen inclusion through socio-labor insertion itineraries. This project is part of the Andalusian Regional Strategy for Social Cohesion and Inclusion (Eracis+), funded by the European Social Fund Plus and the Regional Government of Andalusia.
At the press conference, Irene Aguilera, who also chairs the Provincial Institute of Social Welfare (IPBS), detailed that 144 participants have been registered in Baena and 180 in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo. She emphasized that these figures represent not only individuals but entire families receiving strategies and tools to improve their employability, well-being, and quality of life, with a special focus on women and young people.
The majority participation of women was particularly highlighted by Aguilera, who noted the importance of labor market entry for their autonomy and how the program helps overcome the additional challenges they often face, such as work-life balance.
Regarding concrete results, 64 success cases have been achieved in Baena (training exceeding 20 hours or labor insertion exceeding 30 days) and 49 cases of labor insertion and nine related to training in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo.
The program has focused on personalized itineraries, labor guidance, training, and business prospecting. Activities such as job search workshops, digital training, support for caregivers, emotional health promotion, risk behavior prevention, equality actions, programs specifically for young people and families, and managing family finances to combat energy poverty have been promoted.
Aguilera stressed the importance of collaborative and networked work with the Local Community Impulse Commissions (CLIC), sectoral tables, and coordination teams, thereby facilitating the delivery of tools to users.
For the second half of the year, the aim is to continue advancing along the same lines, consolidating the current structure and the commitment of the professional teams.
