More than 13,800 cruise passengers will visit the capital of Cádiz in the coming days, adding to the 9,000 who already arrived last Wednesday. This figure represents a significant boost for the local tourism sector, which anticipates a recovery after a period of lower activity.
On Saturday, approximately 6,000 tourists disembarked from the cruise ships Costa Favolosa, Celebrity Equinox, and Sea Cloud II. The Costa Favolosa carried about 3,000 passengers, the Celebrity Equinox 2,900, and the Sea Cloud II about 79 cruise passengers, as reported by the Cádiz City Council and the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz.
For Sunday, April 19, two new calls are expected to bring more than 2,400 passengers. The cruise ship Norwegian Gem will contribute 2,300 visitors, while the Emeral Sakara will add around 100 tourists.
Finally, on Monday, April 20, three additional cruise ships, the Norwegian Down, the Vasco de Gama, and the Wind Surf, will arrive at the port with a total of 5,390 passengers. The Norwegian Down will bring about 4,000 cruise passengers, the Vasco de Gama 1,000, and the Wind Surf approximately 310.
These arrivals are part of the 41 calls scheduled for April, of which 16 are still pending until the 30th, solidifying Cádiz as a key destination on cruise routes.
