The operation, part of the fight against small and medium-scale drug trafficking, began in February 2025. Agents focused their inquiries on several cocaine sales points in the aforementioned neighborhood, identifying an organized family group with years of activity in the commercialization of narcotics.
After identifying the sales points, the investigation aimed to locate the places where the clan hid the bulk of the drugs, money, and other assets related to their illicit activity. During this period, information was gathered, and surveillance operations were conducted, allowing the identification of active members involved in the distribution, concealment, and custody of drugs and money.
The organization had a clear division of labor: some members were responsible for retail distribution at sales points; others transported drugs between locations to avoid seizure; while others acted as guides for consumers, directing them to active points. Additionally, certain members assumed security roles, sometimes using physical violence to demand debt payments, protect clan members, or deter rival groups.
The criminal activity was particularly visible at certain times of the day, mainly in the early morning and late afternoon, when there was a constant flow of people visiting sales points and leaving after acquiring substances. During surveillance, agents documented episodes of harassment, coercion, and even physical assaults against consumers, who, due to their dependency, resignedly endured these behaviors.
With the evidence and necessary proof gathered, the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO 2) of the National Police Station in La Línea de la Concepción submitted the proceedings to the head of the Civil and Instruction Section of the Local Court, requesting authorization for entry and search of four homes linked to clan members. The searches resulted in the seizure of numerous doses of cocaine prepared for immediate distribution at the sales points.
In another of the homes related to the group, larger quantities of drugs were found, where doses were prepared for subsequent distribution. Furthermore, in a third property, a weapons and ammunition depot was discovered, containing a significant arsenal of bladed weapons, firearms, and abundant ammunition, used by the members responsible for security. The investigation remains open, and further arrests are not ruled out.
